Quote of the Week

“Some things are better off ignored than attacked. Attention is the oxygen of conflict. When you fight a problem, you breathe life into it. When you starve a problem of your attention, you suffocate it. In a surprising number of cases, the way to solve a problem is to ignore it.” -James Clear

I received an antique Circular Sock Machine (CSM) from my best friend’s Dad, who found it in their attic when they downsized a few years ago. I’ve spent time the past 2 weekends cleaning it but haven’t cast on yet. I found this video tutorial helpful as I think about casting on.

Knitting in Passing

We finally got to visit my grandmother at her new apartment in an Assisted Living community. Introduced us to her friend as her granddaughter- the one who knits all the shawls and socks! Her Jean Marie shawl is on the back of her chair.
