Knitting in Passing
Recent trip to the Berkshires, chatted with a lovely couple from CT around the fire outside the lodge. The husband talked about how he learned to crochet when he was young, much to his father’s dismay. His family lived on a campground in the summer and his mother, grandmother and aunts all crocheted so they taught him and he really enjoyed it. He said he also had a cross stitch kit he bought ages ago and he’s looking forward to diving into that during retirement and longing for that meditative space of the repetition of the thread and the needle!

Oh I loved the Woods Woman books. I need to get them for my daughter.
I used to visit the Adirondacks in the 80s and 90s.
I believe that one of her cabins was moved to the Adirondack Museum in Blue Lake. I was bummed we didn’t take the time to go there when we were passing few.
I’ve been trying to make my socks on size 0 (2mm) for the feet and size 1 (2.25) for the legs. I hate ripping out, so that’s what I would have done on those socks.
I hope you find the missing project!
And oh my gosh! Most of my time in the Adirondacks was at the Great Camp Sagamore! near Racquette Lake.
I must have that pattern, I guess!
Hey Jen, Glad to hear about your trip to the Berkshires. My cousin just took over the Harbour House Inn, bear Cheshire. It would be a great place for a knitting retreat. She and her family have been supporting my fiber adventures for years.
